UGC NET 2024 Result will be released in the fourth week of July 2024 for the July session. UGC NET (University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). UGC NET 2024 Result
The result of UGC NET 2024 will be published through online mode. The authority will prepare result for both sessions in the form of raw scores and percentile scores of total raw scores. No candidate will be able to get their result through offline mode, they will need to check it through the website.

How to Download UGC NET 2024 Result
Candidates must check out a steps to download the UGC NET result 2024:

- At candidate Activity section, click on the UGC NET June/ December 2024 Result link.
- Enter roll number, date of birth and application number.
- Click on the Submit button.

UGC NET 2024 Merit List
The merit list of UGC NET will be published through online mode. The authority will release the separate category wise and subject wise merit list. The merit list will be prepared for candidates who successfully qualified the entrance exam.
Top 15% candidates names mentioned in the merit list will be declared NET qualified for eligibility of Assistant Professor only. Among NET qualified students a separate merit list will be carried out for the award of JRF. The qualifying marks criteria will be set by NTA/ UGC will be final.

Result Normalization Process
In order to determine the marks of candidates in UGC NET exam, the normalization process will be followed by the authority. For multiple shift papers, raw marks obtained by candidates in different shifts will be converted to NTA score. In case a subject test is conducted in multi-shifts, a score will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by candidate.
The calculated scores for raw marks for all shifts will be merged for further processing for deciding the allocation. In the events of percentiles for multiple shifts being unequal, the lowest will be the eligibility cut-off for that category for all candidates.
The Percentile score of candidate is calculated by using the given formula:
= 100*Number of candidates appeared in the “Session” with a raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate./ Total number of candidates appeared in the “Session”
The Percentiles would be calculated for each candidate in the Session as follows:
Let TP1 be percentile scores of Total Raw scores of the candidate.
Total Percentile (TP1):
= 100*Number of candidates appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than T1 score/ Total number of candidates appeared in the session
UGC NET 2024 Cut Off
The cut off of UGC NET will be released separately for all the categories. It will be published through online mode. Applicants must obtain the minimum cut-off marks to qualify entrance exam. Students will be able to check the complete cut-off marks from website.
UGC NET cut off will be prepared by authority on the basis of various factors such as number of candidates appearing in exam, difficulty level of exam, availability of seats, previous year trend cut-off etc. It will be mandatory for the candidates to score minimum cut-off marks to be eligible for admission procedure.

UGC NET 2024 Selection Procedure
Applicants will be selected for Assistant Professor and JRF on the basis of their performance in entrance exams. Once result will be declared, no further rounds will be organized for the selection of candidates.
Top 6% of total candidates will be declared qualified. Students will need to score minimum marks in both papers to be eligible for post of JRF and Assistant Professor.
