UPES Dehradun Scholarship 2024: Eligibility & Type of Scholarship
UPES Dehradun was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. This university emerged as an innovative institution offering industry-focused specialised undergraduate and postgraduate courses with an ambitious vision and unique approach. UPES is also known as University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. UPES is accredited by NAAC with a Grade ‘A’. It has sprawling 44 acres campuses in Dehradun, namely Bidholi and UPES Kandoli. UPES has ranked 79 for overall and 52 for the university as per the NIRF 2023 rankings.
UPES Dehradun also provides the Scholarship to the eligible candidates for further studies at university. Entry Level Scholarship – On the Basis of Board Merit/ JEE/ CUET Score:
Those candidates who have applied for admission for UG courses except Global Pathway Program (GPP) and have taken the class 12th CBSE board/ ICSE board or any state board exam will be eligible to avail this Scholarship.
Scholarship Criteria:
Up to 30% (tuition fee only) scholarship will be awarded and awarded only if acceptance fees are deposited within given timelines.

Scholarship Program for MBA:
Those students have applied for UPES MBA courses (regular) except Global Program (GPP) and have done graduation from any recognized university will be eligible for the Scholarship. Scholarship will be available for limited seats only.
Scholarship Criteria:
For the first and second semesters, the Scholarship will be awarded 20% of tuition fees. Scholarship will be awarded only if acceptance fees are deposited within the given timelines:

Scholarship For Bonafide Uttarakhand Students:
The candidates will only be applicable for a 30% concession on tuition fee subject to fulfilment, in case the application is a Uttarakhand Bonafide resident. Following are the conditions and submission of supporting documents required.
- Sthai/ Mool/ Adhiwas Niwas Praman Patra certificate, along with a admission form.
- The certificate of income certificate proving that your gross family income is not more than Rs 12 lakh per annum, along with a copy of the last income tax return filed for both parents.
- Compliance with all other norms as prescribed by the university from time to time.
- In form of fee concession; fee discount; or fee waiver on tuition fees only, the scholarship will be awarded to the candidates.
Free Ships:
UPSE is providing the scholarship to candidates who come from the economically weaker section but high aspiration, commitment and calibre for the quality education. Check the given terms and conditions/ eligibility criteria:
- Total 51 seats will be available for regular program on a merit basis.
- The upper age limit to apply for the scholarship is 20 years for UG and 25 years for PG respectively.
- Family income must be under the EWS category is to be up to Rs. 8 lakhs per annum from all sources.

UPES has introduces a new scheme of providing scholarships for talented sports persons with the objective of developing a sports culture within the University.

Scholarship Based on Academic Performance – For Second Year Onwards:
This Scholarship for academic will be applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Scholarship will be awarded to 10% of the total enrolled students in each of the program or 1 students whichever is higher. The Scholarship policy is based on the meritorious performance of the students in the academic year 2023-24 given below:
