Bhagwant Institute of Technology, Muzaffarnagar

Bhagwant Institute of Technology (BIT) is one of the eight educational units of the Bhagwant Group of Institutions. The institution is set up by the Bhagwant Education Development Society. The BIT was established in the year 1999 as a private, self-financed and co-educational institution. The BIT is awarded as the ISO 9001:2000 certified institutions for its quality education. The BIT is affiliated to the UPTU, Lucknow and CCS University, Meerut. The BIT is approved by the AICTE and MHRD, New Delhi. The BIT is also approved by the State Board of Technical Education and the State Government of UP.

Campus:

The BIT campus is situated on the Bijnor – Delhi Highway in Bhagwantpuram in district Muzaffarnagar (UP). The campus is 17 km away from the Muzaffarnagar City. The campus of BIT is spread over an area of 150 acres of land. The campus as in Muzaffarnagar is well accessible through the buses and rail from the surrounding areas and cities.

Programmes:

The BIT is conducting the six academic programmes in various fields of the education. The college is offering the B.Tech programme in seven disciplines and M.Tech programme in six disciplines of engineering and technology. The BIT is offering the MCA and MBA programme. A BBA and BCA programme affiliated to the CCS University also conducted by the college. The B.Tech programme is accredited by NBA in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, civil engineering and electrical & electronic engineering branches.

Students & Faculty:

The BIT offers the 1300 seats as an annual intake capacity of the students every year in all programmes. The BIT offers its faculty to visit abroad for attaining the seminars, projects and professional talks.

Facilities:

The BIT provides the fully Wi-Fi enabled campus, multimedia library, computer lab, laboratories, hostel facility, mess, dining hall, sports facility, medical facility and transport facility. The campus has a branch of IEEE. It is the only institution having smart card facility in the library, canteen, laboratories and at the entrance.

Placement:

The campus ensures the job placement to the students up to 70 to 80% every year. The training and placement cell of the BIT is inviting the visitor and guest faculty from time to time. Google, Intel, Microsoft, Murugappa, TVS, Titan and Tata are the top recruiters of the college since last few years.

Activities:

The college conducts PDP, club activities with 9 different clubs and extracurricular activities like seminars, debates, group discussion, workshops, sports week, industrial visits and cultural programmes.
