Bengal School of Technology (BST), Hooghly

Bengal School of Technology, Hooghly was formed in year 2006. The institution is established by the Supreme Educational Development and Charitable Organization (SEDCO). The institution is approved by AICTE & PCI, affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology for imparting B.Pharm and M.Pharm courses. The aim of the institution is to impart standard of pharmaceutical education to the young aspirants of the country.

Campus

The institution tries to provide best infrastructure facilities. The campus of BST with aesthetically designed building is spread around over nearly 4.10 acres of land. The institute has all modern resources needed to provide quality education and facilitate better learning. The institute has separate academic and administrative blocks, library, computer labs, Pharma labs, spacious classrooms with audio-visual teaching aids and separate hostels for boys and girls.

Facilities

The institution has all facilities for the students like it has a separate room to facilitate guest lecture, seminars, workshop and conference. Facility for indoor and outdoor games is also available in the campus. The institute has its own bus service linking to the nearest railway station (Chuchura). A satellite interactive terminal is installed in the college under the supervision of ISRO.

Programmes

Bengal School of Technology provides the courses in the field of Pharmacy. The present courses in the institution are approved by PCI (Pharmacy Council of India), New Delhi. It offered four years of Bachelor of Pharmacy and two years of Master in Pharmacy. The courses offered in the field of Pharmacy are given below:

For admission M.Pharma, the candidate must pass the B.Pharma with aggregate of 60% marks.

Placement

The institution has effective and active training & placement (TPC) cell. The cell works on the “industry-institute interaction” strategy. The quality policy of the institution is to organize seminars / workshops etc. for overall development of the students.
