Darshan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rajkot

Darshan Institute of Engineering & Technology (DIET) has been established in the year 2009 as a private and self-financing institution, set up by the Shree G. N. Patel Education & Charitable Trust. The DIET is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University and approved by the State Directorate of Technical Education, AICTE & Ministry of HRD and Government of Gujarat.

Campus:

The DIET campus is sited on the Rajkot – Morbi National Highway near Water Pump at Hadala in District Rajkot, Gujarat. The DIET campus is situated in the outskirt of the city at 19 km away from the Rajkot Bus Stand, 17 km from the Rajkot Railway Station and 20 km from the Rajkot Airport.

Programmes:

The DIET is conducting the B.Tech/B.E degree course in five branches of engineering.

Students & Faculty:

The DIET has a total 300 intake capacity in all programmes. The college has around 116 faculty members from all departments.

Facilities:

The DIET campus provides 11 classrooms, 25 laboratories, a central computer centre, a central library, 5 auditoriums & seminar halls, cafeteria, indoor & outdoor sports facility, gymnasium, facility for disabled, separate common room for boys & girls, medical facility and transportation.

Activities:

The DIET celebrates the annual day & traditional festivals. The campus organizes the competitions for volleyball, cricket, chess and badminton. The campus also arranges the industrial visits and educational tours.

Placement:

The DIET is providing the excellent job placement for its students and a department of training & placement is continuously working for the same. The placement centre arranges the training programmes and internship for the students.
