Dr. NGP Institute of Technology, Coimbatore was established in the year 2007 by Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust. The DNGPIT is self financing private institute, management by Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust. The college is affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE and recognized by UGC & Accredited by NAAC.

The DNGPIT campus is located at Kalapatti Road in Coimbatore city. The college campus is built in sufficient land area to provide better learning experience. The college campus includes various buildings blocks named as academic block and administrative block.
