Giani Zail Singh Punjab Technical University Campus, Bathinda is a government aided engineering college established in the year 1989. The college is the first technical institute established by the government of Punjab. The college was initially started with the name Government Engineering College, Bathinda, and later got the name of Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering & Technology (GZSCET) in the year 1992. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to PTU Jalandhar.

Campus:

The college is located at Dabwali Road in the outskirts of Bathinda district of Punjab. The college provides all sufficient facilities to its students and has a serene and a peaceful environment. The college is situated at a distance of 7 km from railway station, 5 km from bus stand and a distance of 210 km from Chandigarh.

Programmes:

Facilities:

The college provides all sufficient facilities to its students having spacious and ventilated classrooms, well equipped labs and workshops, the college has a central library with DELNET and E-library facility the library contains a good collection of books and journals and a subscription to leading newspapers and magazines. The other facilities provided by the college include hostel facility, sports and gymnasium facility, medical and transport facility etc.

Activities:

The college organizes various activities throughout the year for the all around development of the students. Some of the activities are annual fest, debate competition, rangoli making, dance competition, football tournament, cricket tournament and various other athletic events.

Placement:

Giani Zail Singh PTU Bathinda, has a separate Training & Placement department for handling the training and placement related activities of the students. The cell provides various job opportunities to the students of final and pre final year. The cell also conducts industrial visits, internship program, and personality development classes to make the students industry ready professionals.
