Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay
The Indian institute of technology is second oldest institute of Indian institute of technology system. The institute is popularly abbreviated as IIT –bombay, now (Mumbai). IIT –Mumbai is among the top engineering college of the country , it is located in powai , Mumbai (India).
IIT Bombay was established in the year 1958 the Parliament decreed IITs as Institutes of National Importance. The institute was started its construction in the year 1957. The first batch of the college comprises of 100 students.
IIT Bombay offers various graduate program’s and doctoral degrees invarious discipline’s including art, science , technology, Mathematics. Over the last 53 years around 39000 engineers and scientist have graduated from IIT Bombay.
Campus:
The IIT Bombay campus is located at Powai, in north eastern Mumbai. The college campus covers a distance of 550 acres comprises of the main building, various departmental annexes, residential block, playground and all necessary amenties.

Facilities:
IIT Bombay has state of the art infrastructure, providing all major facilities to the students. The college has well equipped labs and workshops, a central library having a huge collection of books and journals. The other facilities provided by the college include seminar hall, auditorium, gymnasium facility, swimming pool, sports facility like cricket ground, basketball court, separate hostel facility for boys and girls etc.
Activities:
