Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur is government co-educational institute was established in the year 1960. It is awarded as an “Institute of National Importance” in 1961 by parliament of India. College is affiliated as a Central University and administered by IIT council, established by government of India. College has approved by AICTE- All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi, Govt. of India and MHRD- Ministry of Human Resource and Development, New Delhi. IIT, Kanpur facilitates high class education in engineering and management programs.

Campus:

Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur is situated on GT Road at Kalyanpur in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. It locates 16 km west of city and well-connected by roads.The campus is spread over an area of 1055 acres of land.
