Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, (IGIT) Delhi is the first engineering college for women established in the year 1988 by department of Training and Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi. The college was formerly known as Mahila Institute of Technology. The main objective of the college was to promote women education in the field of engineering and technology. The college was the first constituent college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University established in the year 1998. The college would be known as Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women from may 2013.

Campus:

IGIT Delhi is located at Kashmere Gate in Delhi. The college is located in the prime location of Kashmere gate with good connectivity to all major cities, and fast and frequent transport facility. The college has good infrastructure equipped with all major facilities.

Programmes:

The IGIT Delhi, offers various courses in graduate and postgraduate engineering discipline, including MCA, M.Tech, and PhD. The admission to these courses are based on common entrance examination (CET) conducted by GGSIPU at the all India level. Read More>>

The college has good infrastructure and offering all major facilities like well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and ventilated classrooms, well stocked central library consisting of large volumes of books and journals and a subscription to leading newspapers and magazines, separate hostel facility for boys and girls, sports facility, canteen and mess facility, transportation facility.

Activities:

The college organizes various activities round the year for the all round development of the students, the major activities organized in the college include Tech fest, Sports meet, Social and Cultural events etc.

Placement:
