JEST 2025 Application Form will be released in the first week of January 2025. JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) is a national level eligibility test conducted by Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB). This exam is conducted once in a year for candidates willing to get admission in Ph.D and Integrated Ph.D programmes in Physics and Theoretical Computer Science, Computational Biology. This exam will offer admission to qualified candidates at various participating institutes such as NISER, IIST, IISc etc.

JEST 2025 Application Form

The following are some necessary details related to JEST 2025 Application Form:

• The JEST Application Form 2025 will be filled and submitted through online mode.
• The online registration for JEST 2025 will be started in first week of January 2025.
• Applicants will have to fill their application form with personal, communication and qualification details.
• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria in order to be eligible to apply for JEST 2025.
• Upload relevant documents like photograph, signature and other documents as per the given instructions.
• The edit facility to make corrections in certain details will also be provided to candidates for a limited time period only.
• The last date to apply for JEST 2025 will be till fourth week of January 2025.
• Applicants are advised to keep a hardcopy of filled application form for future correspondence.

• Application fee of JEST 2025 will be submitted through online mode.

JEST 2025 Application Correction

After the submission of all the applications, the authority will provide the edit facility to  make necessary corrections or modifications in application form. The application correction window will be started in first week of February 2025.

Only those candidates who successfully filled  in JEST 2025 application form, will be given a specified time limit to update all the details. The corrections will be possible in some specific details only. Candidates will be able to make changes in the form through online mode only. 

JEST 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the given mentioned eligibility criteria to apply for JEST 2025:

For Ph.D Programmes:

• M.Sc in Physics: Candidates passed in B.Tech/M.Sc/B.E/M.Tech in applied Physics and Mathematics will  be eligible.
• Ph.D in Computational Biology at IMSc: One must have completed M.Sc/ME/M.Tech/MCA in any engineering or science discipline.
• Ph.D in Neuroscience: Candidates who have a M.Sc (Physics/Mathematics), BE/B.Tech/MCA in computer sciences will be eligible.
• Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc: One must be M.Sc/ME/M.Tech qualified to be eligible for exam.

For Integrated Ph.D Programmes:

• Integrated Ph.D in Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc: Applicants must have passed in B.Sc/B.E./B.Tech in computer science or related discipline.
• Integrated M.Tech-Ph.D programme at IIA:  Only those candidates who have qualified M.Sc (Physics/Mathematics)/Post-B.Sc (Hons.) in Optics and Optoelectronics/Radio Physics and Electronics will be considered eligible to apply for exam.

How to Apply for JEST 2025 

These are the steps to apply for JEST 2025: 

• Visit the JEST website link (link will be given above).
• Press on “JEST 2025 Application Portal” link.
• Enter the email ID, date of birth, phone number etc to complete the registration process and obtain a login ID.
• Start with a login procedure by entering the received OTP. 
• Now, fill the application form by providing personal and educational qualification details.
• Upload all the relevant documents such as photograph and signature in prescribed format and size.
• Recheck and review the filled details in the form. 
• Press the “Submit” button to proceed further. 
• Make payment of application fee using online payment methods.
• A confirmation page will be generated after submitting the application fee. 
• Take a printout of application form and fee receipt for future reference.
