Sardar Bhagwan Singh PG Institute of Biomedical Sciences & Research (SBS) is the pioneer in offering professional education in the field of Bio-medical sciences in the region. Since its inception in 19994, the institute has constantly worked towards raising the academic standards. The institute is approved by AICTE & PCI, New Delhi and accredit by NAAC. It is affiliated by UBTE & UTU. The SBS institute offered the courses in Allied Sciences and Pharmacy.
Campus
The academic campus of the institution is spread over 12 acres land of the Dehradun. The academic campus includes the five main faculty blocks mainly Baba Kharak Singh Block, Professor Puran Singh Block, Medical Lab technology Block, Physiotherapy Block and Biotechnology Block along with the Administrative Block, Cafeteria and girl’s hostel. Campus bears the other facilities inside the campus like library, sports ground, students club and society, health care services and picture gallery.
Facilities
The institute has numbers of facilities provided by the institution. First of all it has banking facility with the ATM service. It has general commodities, accommodations for guest and faculties. The institute is connected by regular local bus service available from Airport, Railway station, Bus stand besides this the institution provides its own bus facility to ease staff and students commuters. It has also a student’s safety insurance over 1 lack pr student under ‘Student Safety Insurance Policy’.

School of Pharmaceutical Science and Allied Chemistry offers courses in Bachelor of Pharmacy, Master of Pharmacy, M.Sc Pharmaceutical Chemistry and M.Sc Chemistry. A separate training & placement cell is formed by the institute for monitoring the student’s performance and theoretical knowledge. It works on the student’s personality development and performs the career counseling. It works on the recruiters expectations from students. It also makes the connections with the alumni. The institute organizes the training sessions on soft skill development.
