Shaheed Udham Singh Engineering College, Mohali
Shaheed Udham Singh Engineering College, Mohali is the first self financed engineering college in the state of Punjab. The college was established in the year 1997, with the vision of providing world-class engineering education in the Punjab state. In the last 15 years the college has emerged as one of the premier institute of engineering in the state. The SUSCET is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar, and approved by all India council for technical education (AICTE) New Delhi and Government of Punjab. The college is also certified with ISO 9000: 2000 certification.
Campus:
The SUSCET is located at Tangori village in Mohali district of Punjab. The college has well established and beautifully designed campus, the building are architecturally designed, and comprises of all major facilities.
Programmes:
The college is offering six courses in undergraduate engineering discipline with the total intake capacity of 420 students. The college is also offering courses in postgraduate engineering discipline with the total intake capacity of 110 seats. All the courses offered by the college are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar.
Facilities:
The main facilities provided by the college include fully Wi-Fi enabled campus, well furnished and spacious classrooms, state of the art labs and workshops, seminar hall, computer centre equipped with latest hardware and software, The college has a central library which is well stocked with state of art learning technologies, having a huge collection of books and journals. The other facility includes hostel, mess, canteen, sports and transportation.
Placement:
The SUSCET have a comprehensive Training & Placement department, to help the students to get their desired job. The T&P cell of the college assists the students in every stage of their recruitment process.
Activities:
The students of SUSCET are engaged in many extracurricular activities that are organized by the college throughout the year, some of these activities include sports meet, cultural events, annual function.
