Surendra Medical College and Hospital (SMCH), Patna
The Surendra Medical College and Hospital (SMCH), Patna was established in 1956. The UG/PG courses are introduced by the college later on. SMCH is run by Surendra Hemant Educational & Social Welfare Society registered under Societies Registration Act 1860. It is affiliated to the Aryabhatta Knowledge University and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
Campus
SMCH has the tag of being the only medical college in Patna which has a state-of-art infrastructure integrated in a single campus. The college is easily motor able as it is situated on National Highway. The student and the faculty create a better understanding of the lectures delivered by the faculty. The classrooms are furnished with projectors and mike which makes the interaction convenient. The college has well-equipped laboratories and the library with all essential data. It has accommodation facility too in the college campus for the students.
Facilities
Transport facility is available to reach the college/ hospital. There is a 24 hours ambulance service available for the patients in and out of the periphery of the college/hospital. The ambulance is equipped with all essential equipment required to support the patients on the way to the hospital as well as aids to treat them while being on the way to the hospital. For the students to attend the classes the college provides with cabs and bus running at regular intervals from various stoppages made in the city. Hostel accommodation with mess facilities is provided within the campus to the students.

Every year, many companies visited in the campus for placement process. The college organizes the training sessions on soft skill development annually. The placement cell of the college conducts the job fairs for the students every year. The training and placement cell is established by the college to monitoring the student’s practical and theoretical knowledge. The training and placement cell concentrates on the recruiters expectations from students for the placement procedure.
