Surya School of Engineering and Technology, (SSET) Patiala is a private aided engineering college located in Patiala district of Punjab. The college was established in the year 2009 with an objective of imparting quality education in the field of engineering and technology, so that the students can be industry fit and have various employment opportunities. The SSET is affiliated to Punjab Technical University Jalandhar, and approved by all India council for technical education (AICTE) New Delhi and Government of Punjab.
Campus:
The SSET is situated in Rajpura onNH-1 in Patiala district. The college has state of art infrastructure comprising of all major facilities. The college is well connected by roads and other transport facilities.
Programmes:
The college is offering seven courses in undergraduate engineering discipline leading to the degree of B.tech. The college is also offering two courses in postgraduate engineering discipline leading to the degree of M.Tech. The courses offered by the college are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar.
Facilities:
The facilities provide by the SSCT includes well spacious and ventilated classrooms, state of the art labs and workshops, seminar hall, computer centre with internet connectivity and well equipped hardware and software, separate hostel facility for boys and girls, the College has well stocked library having thousands of books of science, engineering and technology and hundreds of national and international journals. The other facility provided by the college includes canteen, mess, sports and transportation.
Placement:
The SSET has a well equipped Training and Placement cell which assists the students in every stage of their placement process. The job of the T&P cell is to maximize career potential of the students and facilitate their placements with reputed companies. The cell offers a broad range of career services that empower students to explore, define, and realize their career goals.
Activities:
The students of SSET participate in all sorts of activities that are organized by the college or the other colleges throughout the year. Some of these programs are Earn while you learn program, Surya World Incubation Centre, Sports and Athletics event.
