Have you ever wondered how smartphones communicate or how satellites transmit signals?
All the electronics devices we use and the digital communication between them is a part of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
The Electronics and Communication Engineering is powering smart devices, wireless networks and digital communication technologies.
The Electronics and Communication engineering plays a key role in the sectors like telecommunications, robotics, embedded systems, IoT, space technology, and consumer electronics.
To make a career in this field, candidates need to pursue Undergraduate or Postgraduate programs. These include diploma, B.Tech and M.Tech programs in Electronics and Communication engineering.
Before we explore more about courses and career prospects, let’s understand Electronics and Communication engineering in detail.
What is Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)?
The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a core engineering discipline that deals with design and development of electronic devices and communication equipments.
The ECE is one of the popular engineering branch among the students as it combines electronics, communication systems and programming. Thus, offering a wide range of career opportunities in both hardware and software industries.
The ECE has evolved as a distinct discipline during the mid 20th centuty with the invention of radio, televesion, radar and telecommunication.
In the subsequent years, with the advancement in wireless communication, satellites, transistors and VLSI the electronics & communication engineering has become one of most sought after branches of engineering.
