NEET 2017 Notification Declared, Exam to be held on 7 May

CBSEAfter the long delay of around 2 months, CBSE has finally released the NEET 2017 notification on 31st January 2017. Along with the notification, the board has also released the application form. The wait of medical and dental students has been over now. Candidates can now apply for NEET 2017. The last date to submit the application form will be 1st March 2017. Exam will be held on 7th May 2017 as pen and paper based test. Indian nationals/foreign nationals/PIO’s/OCI’s/NRI’s all are eligible to apply for NEET.

New Changes Introduced in NEET 2017

The notification lists some new and important changes in NEET 2017. These changes have been also intimated earlier through newspapers. The changes made in NEET 2017 are as follows:

Attempts Restricted to Three

Candidates of all categories can now attempt the NEET only 3 times. Attempts will be counted from the year 2017. Therefore, NEET 2017 will be counted as first attempt. Candidates who have previously attempted the NEET/AIPMT 3 times will now also be able to fill up the application form.

Removal of Age Cap of 25 Years

Earlier, it was announced that the upper age limit for appearing the NEET is 25 years (30 years for SC/ST/OBC category candidates). As per the latest decision of Supreme Court, upper age limit criteria of 25 has now been removed in NEET 2017/

Aadhaar Card Is Mandatory

Aadhaar card would also be mandatory for to fill up the NEET 2017 application form. At the time of filling the form, candidates have to enter their aadhaar card  number. The  use  of  Aadhaar  for  the  applicants  of NEET 2017 will result in accuracy of the applicants’ details.

NEET 2017 to be Held in 10 Regional Languages

It is decided by the board to avail the question paper of NEET 2017 in 10 regional languages namely Hindi, English, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Oriya, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

    Previous year many chances to enter the medical field like CET, COMEDK, NEET I & NEET II but this year only one exam neet I only. one year will be wasted for those students failed to apply Neet exam. There is Neet 2nd phase 2017 is there or not please reply me.
