Candidates are able to check their NEET 2023 result & rank letter through online process only. No score card is sent to the candidates via offline mode. For SC/ST candidates, no separate result is declared. The merit list has been prepared for eligible candidates on the basis of NEET result. Candidates have called for the NEET 2023 counselling process on the basis of merit list.

The minimum NEET cut-off marks to qualify the NEET exam is 50% (For General category) & 40% (For reserved Category). Candidates are able to check the NEET answer key before the result declaration. The answer key helps the candidates to estimate the minimum score secured in the entrance exam.

NEET Result Declaration Date

The NEET entrance exam has been organised through pen and paper based mode. It has been conducted on 7th May 2023.  After one month of the entrance test, authority has published the result for every participated candidate. Candidates are able to check their result on 13th June 2023. The counselling procedure has been started after the result declaration.

How to Check the Result

Candidates have to follow the given steps to get the result:

  • Open the official portal. (Link is given above)
  • Click on the link “Click here”.
  • The result page will be opened on the computer screen.
  • Enter your application number, security pin & date of birth.
  • Click on the “Submit” button.
  • Result has been displayed on the screen.
  • Take the print copy of the result for further reference.

The score card of NEET 2023 exam is valid only for one year (for the session 2023-24). The score card is available via online mode. Details mentioned in the score card are given below:

NEET 2023 Answer Key

The answer key has been released through online mode. Candidates are able to check the answer key via online mode. With the help of answer key, students can calculate their rough marks they are going to score in the examination. The NEET answer key 2023 bears the correct answers of all the questions asked in the examination.

The authority also provide the facility to challenge against the answer key. Students may challenge the answer key within the prescribed dates. Candidates can challenge the answer key via online mode with the payment of Rs. 200/- per answer. If the challenge is accepted by the authority, the payment can refunded to candidates.

NEET 2023 Merit List

The merit list has been prepared in percentile determined on the basis of highest marks secured by the candidates in the NEET exam. The merit list for 15% All India Quota will be prepared by NTA. Candidates will get admission in colleges or universities as per their position in the merit list. The rank list has been published through online mode.

NEET 2023 Merit List Tie-Breaking Criteria

In order to prepare the merit list, the authority shall use the tie-breaking method. In case candidates score equal marks in the NEET examination, tie-breaking method will be considered. The tie-breaking mention of NEET 2023 exam will be mentioned below:

  • Students obtaining higher marks in Biology subject in NEET 2023 exam.
  • Students securing higher marks in Chemistry subject in NEET 2023 exam.
  • Candidates with less number of wrong question attempts in all subjects of NEET exam.
  • After applying all the above methods of tie breaking the tie remain, students older in age will be considered.

NEET Counselling 2023

After the declaration of NEET Result, candidates are able to participate in the counselling process followed by the admission in the respective allotted colleges.

Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats (MBBS/BDS) is regulated by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

NEET 2023 Counselling registration (All India Quota) has been started from 20th July 2023. Candidates are able to participate in the counselling process conducted by their state medical admission authorities. Provisional allotment has been released on 29th July 2023 for first round.
