Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Science, Allahabad

Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Science (SHIATS) was established in the year 1910 as a Christian minority institute named Allahabad Agricultural Institute by Dr. Sam Higginbottom in pre-independent India. It was the first institute provided the education in agricultural engineering in the year 1942. It was declared as a deemed university recognized by the ACU and NAAC in the year 2000. In the year 2009 it has renamed as present name. The campus is approved by MHRD, New Delhi. It is recognized by the Board of Technical Education, State Govt. of UP.

Campus:

The campus is situated at Naini on National Highway-27 in Allahabad the district of UP. The campus is very well connected by the roads and rail. The sprawling campus is spread over an area of 600 acres of well developed and vast land surrounded by lush green and pollution environment. The campus has awarded as an ISO 9001:2008 certified institutions.

Programmes:

The campus offers around 160 academic UG, PG and PhD programmes in various fields of engineering, agriculture, applied science, management and technology by various schools of education.

The campus has formed a career planning and counseling centre (CPCC). This cell invites various companies for placement assistance and campus interview. The cell also offers the training and internship.
