Shamli Institute of Engineering & Technology, Shamli

Shamli Institute of Engineering & Technology (SIET) was established in the year 2007 as a private and self-financing institution, set up by the Gyan Chetna Educational Society. The SIET is affiliated to the UP Technical University, Lucknow and approved by the UP State Board of Technical Education, MHRD and AICTE, New Delhi.

Campus:

The SIET campus is situated on Shamli – Karnal Road in Village Jhinjhana in Shamli, the district of UP. The Shamli was laid under the territory of district Muzaffarnagar, but in 2011 it comes out as an individual district named Prabudh Nagar. In the year 2012 it renamed as the known and popular Shamli. The campus is 10 km away from the City towards Karnal, the district of Haryana. The campus is 100 km from New Delhi. The SIET campus is spread over 12 acres of land.

Programmes:

The SIET campus offers the B.Tech programme in four disciplines in the field of engineering and technology and post-graduate degree in management study.

Students:

The annual intake capacity of the SIET is 300 students for admission in all programmes. The campus has around 2000 students pursuing their courses in all programmes.

Facilities:

The SIET campus is providing the well-stocked library, engineering laboratories, playground, lecture hall, separate hostel for boys and girls, transportation facility, separate mess facility, internet facility in computer lab, workshops, medical facility, hot water and power back-up facility.

The college organizes various sports, personality development and extracurricular activities.

Placement:

The campus has a tie-up with Shine.com job portal. The Shine.com conducts career development programmes like resume development and video profile. The campus has a placement cell also which is working for providing summer training, project studies and job placement for the students.
