As per some writers the idea of fine art was invented early modern period in the West. Larry Shiner in his book: “The Invention of Art: A Cultural History” finds the invention of fine arts in the 18th century.

Courses & Duration

There are a large number of certificate, diploma and degree level courses in fine arts courses that are offered by various Institutions. You can also pursue postgraduate & Ph.D courses in Fine Arts. The duration of the courses varies from 1 to 5 years.

      Though m not the councillor but I hv gone through Ur mgs..I think u should choose Ur career based on Ur interest..becoz this is Ur life u hv to choose Ur own career..U shd understand Ur own strength make it stronger n make it cum true..whereas about your parent they are right too..they might think thr son is making childish decision which will lead to nowhere.but if u believe in Ur strength nd in Ur interest u should make urself confident enough to tell Ur parent not to worry about u..becoz if u think u can’t do as well in medical line as much as u can do in sketches nd paintings u should always choose the better one.if u r good enough to understand medical course thn it depends on Ur interet…everything is in Ur hand…go through the net browse scope for the sketches n painting there are many…do research choose the right one nd be dedicated to Ur target..set the goal n follow step by step…U r just 15 u will see many options in this world u might change Ur mind..don’t get pressed by the others opinion..

      you can look for job opportunities in this field. As you mentioned advertising company is a good option to start your career, you can make your portfolio by doing some freelancing work, or doing some internship in arts school, Fine arts events & exhibitions etc. This will help you to gain some experience and also help you in getting a good job.

      Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed/appeared the HSC (Std.XII /10+ 2 Level) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (any stream) or its Equivalent examination with English as one of the subject and secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate. (40% marks in aggregate for backward class Category candidates belonging to M.S. only).
      In case percentage, Marks (converted out of 100) in the subject added together at H.S.C. (std.XII), comes in fraction then percentage of marks shall be rounded off as explain in the example for the purpose of deciding the eligibility of the candidate.
