AJ Institute of Medical Science was came into existence in the year of 2002 and it is promoted by Laxmi Memorial Education Trust. This institution is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and approved by MCI (Medical Council of India).
Campus
This institution has a sprawling campus located on National Highway – 66 at Kuntikana, Mangalore. Mangalore is a city located in Dakshina Kannada district. The campus has been spread over around 30 acres of land. The city is well-linked with railways, roads, air and seaports.
Facilities
The classrooms are spacious and equipped with audio-video teaching aids. It houses various laboratories equipped with modern equipment for all the medical departments. It has a spacious library which is fully stocked with the collection of books, volumes, reports, national and international journals, etc. Faculties of AJIMS are highly talented and experienced. Other facilities are hygienically maintained canteen, medical facility, sports facility, advanced computer center equipped with latest configurations and many others.
Programmes
AJ Institute of Medical Science offers various courses in medical field such as MBBS, MD, MS, etc. This institution gives admission in 150 seats for MBBS course and 88 seats for MD & MS courses. For admission in MBBS course, students must have passed 12th standard or equivalent exam approved by RGUHS with physics, chemistry and biology subjects.
