UPSC NDA 2027 will be regulated two times in a year, in April and September month respectively. It is conducted to train & recruit candidates in Defence forces like Army, Navy & Airforce. Every year a large number of candidates appear for NDA exam making it one of the toughest recruitment exam.

No offline method will be provided to fill the NDA form. Students will be able to apply via online mode through UPSC website (upsc.gov.in/upsconline.nic.in). Here we have provided the tentative NDA 2027 Exam date for both sessions:

NDA Registration 2027

Candidates applying for NDA exam, can check some important details about application form below:

• UPSC will open the NDA application form 2027 window from December 2026 (1st Session) and May 2027 (2nd Session).
• Online mode will be available to fill the registration form.
• The form of NDA is divided into three major parts, i.e. Account Creation, Universal Registration (URN) and Common Application Form.
• Around one month window will be provided to candidates to fill the form, after that no extension will be done.
• Photograph, signature and other documents will be needed to upload in the application.
• Candidates are suggested to use their Aadhaar Card as ID proof for easy & seamless verification process.
• Last date to apply for NDA will be in December 2026 last week for first session and second week of June 2027 for second session.
• After the submission of application form, candidates will not be allowed to withdraw it.

Application Fee:

• To apply for NDA, candidates will be required to pay Rs.100/- as an application fee.
• Online method will be used to pay the fee.
• Master/Visa/Rupay debit/credit card, net banking, UPI can be used to remitt the application fee.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded.

NDA Application Correction 2027

Candidates are suggested to fill the application form carefully as not all details will be editable during the correction period. NDA 2027 application correction window will be opend after the closing of application form submission.

Editing can be done through online mode only by providing the login details. Only URN details will be editable. After making the necessary correction make sure to re-lock the URN profile.

How to Apply for NDA 2027

Candidates can refer below given steps to fill the NDA Registration form 2027:

• Step-1: Visit the UPSC official website (Link will be given above).
• Step-2: Click on the “Create Account” Link.
• Step-3: Verify your Email ID & Mobile Number & create strong password.
• Step-4: Login again with the registered Email ID & password & proceed for universal registration.
• Step-5: Fill ID proof, matriculation & other details and generate the URN number.
• Step-6: Proceed to fill CAF details like personal, communication, educational, photo upload etc.
• Step-7: Now apply for NDA exam & provide necessary details.
• Step-8: Pay the application fee & final submit your application form.

NDA Eligibility Criteria 2027

Candidates willing to apply for NDA exam, must fulfill their eligibility before filling the application. Check NDA 2027 eligibility norms below:

• Nationality: A citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India are eligible to apply.
• Gender & Marital Status: Unmarried male/female both candidates are eligible to apply for NDA.
• Age Limit: For NDA 1 2027, the date of bith sould fall on or between 1st July 2008 to 1st July 2011.
  • For NDA 2 2027, applicant should born on or between 2nd January 2009 to 1st July 2012.
• Qualification: For Army wing of NDA, 12th pass or appearing candidates from school board or equivalent are eligible to apply.
• For Air Force & Naval wing, Candidates must have qualified 12th or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics subjects.
• Candidates appearing in 11th class are not eligible to apply for NDA.
• Medically Fit: Candidates should be physically fit as per the standards set by the authority.

NDA 2027 Exam Pattern

Candidates must go through the section below to know NDA exam pattern: 

• Mode of Exam: NDA 2027 Exam will be held through Pen & Paper based mode. 
• Duration: Total two and half hours will be given for each section. 
• Sections: Two sections will be there in the exam i.e Mathematics & General Ability Test. 
• Type of Questions: In exam, Objective type questions will be asked. 
• Language: GAT section will be asked in English & Hindi both language & Mathematics section will be in English language. 
• Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, 0.33% of the marks assigned to the questions will be deducted.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

NDA 2027 Admit Card

The admit card of NDA 2027 will be released ten days before the examination. Candidates will have to download the hall ticket through online mode by visiting the UPSC website. No other offline or post method will be available. It is expected that the NDA 1 2027 admit card will be released in April 2027. 

Appearing candidates will be required to access the NDA hall ticket by entering their mobile number & OTP/ URN & Password/ Email & password details. In case, candidates will not receive their admit card or other query related to admit card, they can contact the commission.

NDA 2027 Answer Key

The NDA answer key 2027 will be released by some of the coaching institutions on their respective website. Candidates will be able to access the answer key through online mode. UPSC may or may not provide the official answer key for NDA examination. 

However In 2026, UPSC has released the official answer key for NDA 1 2026 on 16th April 2026. So, we can expect the official answer key for NDA 2027 too. Candidates will be able to access the keys in PDF format. It will consist of the expected answers of questions asked in the examination. Candidates appearing in the exam will predict their estimated scores in the NDA exam through the answer key. 

NDA 2027 Result

The result of NDA 2027 will be announced through online mode. In the month of May 2027, result for NDA 1 2027 will be published on the website. In the form of PDF, the result will be accessible. It will consist of the roll number of the qualified candidates in the exam. 

In two stages, UPSC NDA result will be announced. Firstly, result will be published for written exam qualified aspirants & final result will be announced after qualifying the SSB Interview procedure. Candidates are suggested to keep the hardcopy of result safe for further process. 

NDA 2027 Cut Off

NDA cut off 2027 will be released through online mode. After the announcement of the result, the NDA 2027 cut off will be published. Candidates will be qualified for the next rounds, as per the cut off marks.

 It will be mandatory for the candidates to come under the released cut off marks to appear for the SSB Interview. There will be various factors on which cut off depends such as  number of candidates, marks scored by the candidates, difficulty level of examination, previous year cut off trends, etc. 

NDA 2027 SSB Interview

Those qualified candidates in NDA 2027 exam & comes under released cut off marks will be eligible for NDA 2027 SSB Interview process. After the declaration of result, the NDA SSB Interview process will be organized.

Those who will appear for SSB must bring their original documents & ID for verification procedure. As per the dates specified in the interview letter, candidates will have to report for the interview. 

There will be two stages in the selection procedure. Stage 1 will contain Officers Intelligence Rating (OIR), Picture Perception (PP) and Description Test (DT). In Stage 2, there will be an Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Test and the conference. For selection in NDA & NA, one will have to clear all these tests carefully without a fail. The final result will be announced after the SSB Interview on the website.
