Government Engineering College, Patan
Government Engineering College (GEC), Patan is a fully government institution. It has been established in the year 2004 by the State Government of Gujarat. The college is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University. The GEC, Patan is administered by the Directorate of Technical Education and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education and Ministry of HRD.
Campus:
The GEC, Patan is sited on the Chanasma – Patan Road at Katpur Post in District Patan, Gujarat. The college is 8 km equally away from the Patan Railway Station and the Bus Stand. The college had shifted to its present site in the year 2008.
Students:
At present, the GEC is offering the admission as the annual intake over 480 seats from all departments.
Facilities:
The college has a computer centre with 385 latest systems and wi-fi internet connected to LAN. The campus provides the facility of a library with 9728 volumes, canteen, sports facility, spacious classrooms, laboratories and accommodation around the campus.
Activities:
The GEC, Patan participates and organizes various extracurricular and co-curricular activities. The institution conducts the sports competition and annual events.
