GATE 2027 Application Form 

Details related to GOAPS (GATE 2027 Online Application Portal System) is mentioned below: 

• GATE 2027 registration is expected to start from the second week of August 2026. 
• Eligible candidates will be able to submit their application form via online mode, no offline method will be provided. 
• In case, candidates will opt for two papers, they will have to pay twice the application fee. 
• There will be several steps included in GATE Registration 2027 – Online Registration, Filling of application form, uploading of documents & payment of application fee. 
• Candidates will not be required to send the printed copy of application or any documents to the authority or any zonal GATE offices. 
• GATE 2027 registration late date will be till first week of October 2026 without late fee.
• The deadline with late fee for GATE 2027 will be till the second week of October 2026. 
• In case of multiple applications submitted by the candidates, only one will be considered, & rest will be rejected without any refund of fee. 
• Applying candidates from outside of India will have to travel to India to appear for the test. 

Application Fee: 

• GATE exam fee 2027 will be submitted via online mode only. 
• Online payment options such as debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ UPI/ wallet will be available. 
• The submitted fee will be non-refundable until a certain two paper combination is removed by the Organising Institute.

How to Register for GATE 2027

• Visit the website of GATE (Direct Link is given above). 
• On the homepage, press the “GATE Registration 2027” link. 
• Start with the registration by entering name, email, mobile number, & setting a password. 
• After successful registration, communication details will be sent to the registered email ID & phone number. 
• Login using allotted details to start filling the application form. 
• Fill the form with details such as personal, academic qualification, choice of exam city, etc. 
• After form filing, upload the scanned documents such as category certificate, photograph, signature & valid Photo ID in prescribed format & size. 
• Now submit the application fee using available payment methods. 
• Recheck the details once before submitting it on the website & then confirm. 
• Submit it & do not forget to take a hardcopy of registration form for further processing.

GATE 2027 Form Correction 

After closing the registration window, the GATE 2027 correction window will be opened by the authority. During edit facility, one will be able to make changes in category, paper, exam city, personal details, etc. The correction facility will be available through online mode. 

To make corrections, one will have to login their dashboard on the website. Candidates are suggested to make their correction done before the last date, as there will be no extension made after closing the window. 

GATE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifying Degree/ Subject: Applying candidates in 3rd or Higher years of any UG degree (currently) or completed any degree (Govt. approved) in Engineering/ Technology, Humanities & Sciences, Architecture will be eligible to apply. 
• Age Limit: To apply for GATE, there will be no age limit prescribed by the authority. 
• Eligibility for Foreign Nationals: To apply for exam, for those pursuing or completed their qualifying degree from outside India should be currently in 3rd or higher years of any UG degree OR 
• Completed bachelor’s degree (at least 3 year duration) in Engineering/ Technology, Humanities & Sciences, Architecture. 
• Candidates having certification from any professional societies must make sure that the examination will be approved by AICTE/ MoE/ UPSC/ UGC as being equivalent to B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch/ B.Planning, etc.

GATE 2027 Exam Pattern 

Candidates can check complete details related to GATE 2027 exam pattern: 

• Mode of Exam: GATE 2027 exam will be conducted via computer based test (CBT) mode. 
• Sections: There will be sections in paper – General Aptitude (GA) + Candidate’s selected subjects. 
• Duration: Total 3 hours will be allocated to the candidates to complete the exam. 
• Number of Papers/ subjects: There will be 30 test papers. 
• Language medium: Exam paper will be conducted in English. 
• Type of Questions: There will be two types of questions in papers – Multiple choice questions (MCQ), multiple select questions (MSQ) and numerical answer type questions (NAT). 
• Marking: In paper, questions will carry either 1 or 2 marks. 
• Negative Marking: There will be negative marking for MCQs. For 1 mark question, ⅓ mark will be deducted & ⅔ mark will be deducted for 2 mark question. There will be no partial marking or negative marking for MSQ & NAT types of questions.

GATE 2027 Exam Centres 

GATE 2027 exam will be conducted in more than 200 cities/ towns across India. Some of the cities we have mentioned below:

GATE 2027 Mock Test

Mock tests are one of the best tool to practice and analyze your performance. The authority will also provide the GATE mock test links for each paper separately. It will be available for practice through online mode.

These mock tests can help candidates to familiarize themselves with the exam pattern. Candidates must note that mock test can be a bit different from the actual GATE examination as number of questions may vary depending upon the papers.

GATE Admit Card 2027

GATE 2027 admit card will be available for download from the first week of January 2027. The admit card will be uploaded through GOAPS login. Successfully registered candidates are required to download it by entering their login details.

No request for change in Location, Centre or Date & Time will be entertained by the authority. On the examination day, candidates have to bring the same ID proof used at the time of registration along with the GATE hall ticket.

GATE Answer Key 2027

Before releasing the answer key, GATE Candidate’s response sheet will be released by the authority. GATE 2027 answer key will be displayed in the last week of February 2027. The answer key can be used to calculate the raw marks before the result announce.

Candidates may submit their objection (If any), via online mode till the objection window. The final key will be released in the first week of March 2027. No further changes will be accepted after the release of finalized key.

GATE Result 2027

Only online mode will be provided by the authority to check the result. GATE 2027 result will be out in third week of March 2027. Candidates will have to login to GOAPS portal and enter their login details to check the result.

A formula will be used by the authority for calculating the normalized marks for the multi session papers. Candidates must keep safe their GATE Exam result for further admission process.

GATE 2027 Score Card

After few days of result announcement, the score card will be released by authority. Qualified candidates will be able to download it from last week of March 2027 to last week of May 2027. GATE Score Card will be available via online mode only.

The validity of score card will be three years from the date of result published. By paying the late fee, the score card can be downloaded from first week of June to last week of December 2027. Enrollment ID & password will be required to download the score card.

GATE Cut-off 2027

The cut-off for GATE 2027 will be released after the announcement of result. GATE 2027 cut-off will be announced paper & category wise through the website. Last year cut-off is mentioned below:

 GATE 2027 Admission/Counselling

The counselling process will be organized via online mode by COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) and CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan). GATE Counselling will be organized separately in the month of April 2027.

GATE qualified candidates will have to register into these admission platforms for seat allocation. Seats will be allocated as per the marks, candidate profile, category, filled choices, seats availability etc. Once the seat is allotted candidates will have to report for document verification & further admission formalities.
