IIT JAM 2027 Application Correction
The authority will provide the IIT JAM 2027 correction facility through online mode. In October 2026, an edit window will be opened on the website. The correction facility will be available for 8 to 10 days only. So candidates are advised to done with their edits before the deadline.
During the correction window, candidates will be able to make changes in some sections only such as gender, category, PWD status & exam centre. One will be required to use their login credentials to access the edit facility.

- Nationality: Applying candidates can be Indian as well as foreign to apply.
- Physical Fitness: One has to show the physical fitness certificate during admission.
- Foreign nationals with an Indian Degree can also be eligible to apply for admission.

- M.Sc. in Chemistry: Applying candidates with a bachelor’s degree of three years with chemistry subjects can apply for admission.
- Joint M.Sc . Ph.D in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences: To be eligible, candidates must be graduated in any discipline with Mathematics and Physics with any one of the subjects i.e Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Applications & Statistics, Geology.
- M.Sc Statistics (IIT, Tirupati): One with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics or statics subjects for at least 2 years will also be eligible for admission.
- M.Sc in Economics (IIT Delhi): Candidates graduated in BS, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Math, B.Stat, B.Tech, BE or equivalent from any recognized university can apply for admission.
- M.Sc Biotechnology: Applying candidates for IIT JAM 2027 must have a bachelor’s degree with courses from any subject/ branch to be eligible.
IIT JAM 2027 Exam Pattern

- Exam Mode: IIT JAM 2027 exam will be conducted in online mode.
- Duration: In exam, a total of 3 hours will be allotted to solve it.
- Medium: English medium will be available in the exam.
- Type of questions: There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), & Numerical Answer Type (NAT) asked in the IIT JAM exam.
- Subjects: 7 subjects will be referred to as a test paper.
- Total Questions: Total 60 questions will be asked in the exam.
- Marking scheme: There will be -1 mark questions in MCQs section, MSQs section will consist of 2 marks per question and NAT section will contain one or two marks per question.
- Negative Marking: In exam, there will be no negative marking in MSQs & NAT sections. There will be a negative marking of -1 mark questions in writing answers, ⅓ marks will be deducted, for NAT & MSQ section no negative marking will be done.

IIT JAM 2027 Admit Card
Admit card of IIT JAM 2027 will be released in January 2027. Candidates will be able to download the hall ticket from the website. There will be no other offline method provided to access the admit card. Login details such as Enrolment ID/ Email ID and password will be required to access the hall ticket.
Candidates will be required to keep the hardcopy of admit card safe for the day of entrance exam, as without it one will not be allowed to appear for the exam. It will consist with the name, signature, exam timing, reporting time, venue, address, & other details.
IIT JAM 2027 Answer Key
After completion of the entrance exam, the IIT JAM 2027 answer key will be published. It will be published through online mode. In February 2027, candidates will be able to access the answer key from the website. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their estimated scores in the exam.
