Candidates can get admission into various UG courses through merit based, but for some programmes such as MBA, M.Sc & PhD, an entrance exam is conducted by university. VMOU conducts the MET (Management Entrance Exam) entrance exam for distance education only.

VMOU 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For MBA Course: 

• Qualification: Applying candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates need to score at least 50% marks to be eligible for admission. 
• Applying candidates having three years of supervisory/ Managerial/ Professional experience or Professional experience or Professional degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine/ Architecture/ Law are eligible for admission. 

For B.Ed Course: 

• Qualification: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized board to be eligible. 
• Marks: Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam. 

VMOU 2026 Admission Procedure 

VMOU 2026 admission procedure will be conducted via online mode. Those candidates who will score higher in the entrance exam will be eligible to participate in the admission procedure. For UG courses, candidates will be selected based on merit list. 

The authority will prepare a merit list to shortlist the candidates for further procedure. There will be various steps in admission such as registration, form filling, admit card, entrance exam, result/ merit list, counselling, etc. After final allotment of seats, admission will be given to the candidates. 

VMOU 2026 Entrance Exam 

Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota conducts its own entrance exam to provide admission into distance education. MET (Management Entrance Test) is conducted to provide admission into PG courses such as MBA. Admission to various UG programmes will be given based on merit list. 

A total of 2 hours will be allotted to the candidates to solve the exam. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the entrance exam. Those qualified candidates in the entrance exam will be eligible for further admission procedure. 

VMOU 2026 Result/ Merit List 

Result for VMOU 2026 will be announced through online mode. Candidates will be able to view the result from May 2026. To download the result, candidates will have to use their login credentials on the website. 

Those shortlisted candidates in the entrance exam will be eligible to participate in the further admission procedure. Result will be released in the form of a merit list. A separate merit list will be released by the authority for different courses. Those candidates whose name will appear in the merit list will be eligible for counselling rounds. 

VMOU 2026 Counselling 

Counselling for VMOU 2026 will be conducted after releasing the result via online mode only. Those qualified candidates in entrance exam or merit list will be eligible to participate in counselling procedure. Based on merit rank, candidates will be called for counselling. During counselling, candidates will need to choose their course specialization. 

To secure the seats, candidates will need to complete all the admission formalities. Admission will be given to the candidates as per their choice and merit.
