Before You Start JEE Main Registration 2026

It clearly mentions eligibility criteria, important dates, and required documents. Many candidates skip this step and later realize they don’t meet certain conditions, such as subject combinations or minimum marks in Class 12.
Keep all documents and files ready — Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, ID proof, and scanned images of your photograph and signature. Make sure they follow the exact format and file size mentioned in the guidelines.
Example: Some students upload selfies or cropped group photos instead of passport-size photos, which leads to rejection or correction requests later.
Use an active email ID and mobile number during registration. NTA sends confirmation messages, payment receipts, and admit card links to these.
Example: Every year, students miss crucial updates because they use their school email or their parents’ mobile numbers, which they can’t access later.
Before applying, check your JEE Main eligibility — especially your year of passing, subjects, and age criteria.

Filling Out the JEE Main 2026 Application Form
When you start the JEE Main application form 2026, fill it step by step — personal details, academic details, exam preferences, and uploads. Don’t rush or jump between sections.

Example: Many candidates from small towns select metro cities, assuming more availability, but later struggle with travel or long-distance centres.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 & 2 Form Confusion, Whether Fill Once or Twice?
Select the correct exam paper and category.
Example: A few students mistakenly choose B.Arch instead of B.Tech, and can’t change it after submission. Maintain a stable internet connection while uploading photos or paying fees. A poor connection can log you out or cause failed uploads, forcing you to redo the form.
Final Submission and Aftercare
Before final submission, review the entire JEE Main form once more.
Example: Candidates often notice small mistakes — like a wrong exam city or a misspelled parents’ name only after submitting, when no edits are allowed.
Verify that your payment status shows “Successful.” If the payment fails or remains pending, your form will not be accepted. After submission, download and print the confirmation page. Keep both a digital and printed copy safe for the admit card and counselling use.
Finally, submit early. Don’t wait for the JEE Main registration last date to apply.
