Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarhat

Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology (BTKIT) is an autonomous and fully government institution established by the state government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 1981. The college was earlier known as the Kumaon Engineering College (KEC). The institution is affiliated to the Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. The campus is approved by the AICTE and Ministry of HRD and Directorate of Technical Education.

Campus:

The campus is sited on the Haldwani – Ranikhet – Karnprayag Road at Town Dwarhat in District Almora in Uttarakhand. The BTKIT campus is 3 km away from the Dwarhat and 30 km from the Ranikhet. The nearest railway station is Kathgodam which is 110 km away from the campus. The campus is spread over in 155 acres of land.

Programmes:

In Current academic session, the college is conducting the six UG and three PG engineering degree programme, beside the PhD course in mechanical, computer science & electrical engineering and humanities. The college also offers the MCA degree programme. Read More >>

The campus has some major facilities such as the central library, laboratories, 10 boys & girls hostel, guest house, hospital, student activity centre, multipurpose hall, central workshop, spacious lecture rooms, sports facility and transportation.

Activities:

The campus organizes the national level technical festival named ‘Aarohan’ every year. The college conducts various extracurricular activities like PDPs, workshops, debates cultural festival, sports events and alumni meet.
