BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – Goa Campus is also known as the K.K Birla Goa Campus in the memory of Late Krishna Kumar Birla, the former chancellor of the institution. The BITS Pilani Goa Campus is one of the four constituent campuses of BITS Pilani. The campus has been established in the year of 2004 by the Birla Group of Technical Education Pilani. The campus is an autonomous body and all courses are approved by the AICTE.

Campus

The BITS Pilani Goa Campus is situated on National Highway – 17B in the semi-urban area of Goa called as Zuari Nagar. The total land area of the campus is 188 acres. The campus is surrounded by the Verdant Hills and River Zuari aside with the scenery of waterways, landscape and forest. The campus is located about 7 km east to the Goa airport and 10 km south of Vasco-De-Gama. The campus is fourth and the newest campus of the renowned institution of the country, BITS, Pilani. It is the constituent of the BITS Pilani University, Rajasthan.

Facilities

The campus provides many academic and campus facilities as that expected to the BITS campus. The main features in account of facilities are students’ housing, financial assistance, cultural and recreational facility, research and R&D centres, computer centre workshop and games and sports facilities.

Programmes

The BITS Pilani Goa campus owns the 300 faculty members and 2215 UG students from all UG and PG departments. The campus offers the following engineering courses:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering

Placement

The average placement record of the campus is above 90%. The campus provides the best environment and training sessions to improve the placement opportunities for students. The main recruiters of the campus are 3DPLM Software Solutions Limited, IBM India, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Infosys Limited, Cisco Systems, Microsoft IT, Deloitte, Galaxy Surfactants, Oracle Server Technologies, Honda Motorcycles, Samsung India, Tata Motors, Yahoo! and Zuari industries.
