BPS Government College for Women was started in the year 1914. The institution imparts training and education in the medical field. It is affiliated to Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi.

Campus

The institution is situated in Sonepat, Haryana. The campus is well connected by road and rail and is only an hour’s drive from New Delhi.

Facilities

Various necessary facilities are provided by the institution such as a well-facilitated computer centre. The institution provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls along with the mess facility. It has lecture theatres which are having the facility of OHP, laptop and overhead projector to facilitate the learning-teaching process. It has a library which consists of books, journals,magazines and project reports. The institution has a cafeteria, an auditorium for various cultural events and also provides sports facility to the students.

Programme

BPS Government College for Women provide undergraduate course in the medical field. The institution offers course in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The duration of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course is five and a half years with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year. The candidates those want to pursue the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course must have passed their class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% marks  and 40% marks for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe and other Backward Classes.
