Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur

Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur was established by the government of Punjab in the year 2011. The university is a public university and approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). The university provides research, training and education in the medical field. At present 12 Ayurvedic colleges (including one Govt. Ayurvedic college) and 4 Homoeopathic colleges are affiliated with this university.

Campus

The university is situated in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The university campus offers a serene environment which is pleasant for learning and growth. The campus of the university is well-established with all the modern facilities with separate academic blocks and student’s blocks.

Facilities

Various necessary facilities are provided by the university such as classrooms which are well-equipped with the multimedia and audio-visual equipment to facilitate efficient learning. The computer lab is well-established with the advanced PC’s, High-Bandwidth Internet connectivity, high-end servers and Multimedia Systems. The university provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls along with the mess facility. The university has a library which has a collection of books, magazines, national and international journals, online databases. The university has an auditorium, a conference hall and various other recreational facilities are also provided by the university such as cafeteria, sports facility etc.

Programmes

The university offers programme in ayurvedic and homopathetic courses. The university offers degree in Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) programme. The university conducts its entrance examination Punjab Ayush Entrance Test (PAET) for admission in Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) programme.
