All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi was established in the year 1956. The institution is autonomous and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI). The institution offers a variety of undergraduate courses in nursing, medicine and related areas and offers postgraduate courses in all the basic and clinical medical specialties and super-specialties. The institution was set up to provide education, research and training in the medical field.

Campus

The institution is located in Ansari Nagar, New Delhi. It is adjacent to the South Extension-II market, and lies on the south-eastern quadrant of Aurbindo Marg and Inner Ring Road crossing. The institution has world-class infrastructure with all the modern and latest facilities.

Various necessary facilities are provided by the institution such as library which has a collection of 71844 books, 66825 journals, 5309 thesis and 17034 pamphlets, central workshop, computer facility. The institution has an auditorium, conference hall for the lectures and seminars. The institution has faculty room and provides wi-fi facility. The institution has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls along with the mess facility. The institution has a laboratory, spacious and air-conditioned classrooms and also provides various other facilities like transportation facility, cafeteria and research facility etc.
