All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar was established in the year 2012. The institution operates autonomously under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The institution is approved by Medical Council of India (MCI).

Campus

The institution is situated in the center of the city of Bhubaneswar. The campus is built-in an area of about 100 acres of land in the Sijua neighborhood of Bhubaneswar.

Facilities

The classrooms are well-furnished and equipped with audio-visual teaching aids to facilitate better learning. The institution has an advanced computer center which is equipped with latest configuration computers, LAN and net connectivity. The institution has a library which is equipped with journals, periodicals, magazines and project reports. It also has several laboratories for different medical departments which are equipped with latest instruments. The institution has a cafeteria, a conference hall and also provides sports facility to the students.

Programmes

All India Institute of Medical Sciences offers undergraduate course in the medical field. The institution offers course in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The MBBS course is having the duration of five and a half years along with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year. The candidates those want to pursue Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in qualifying examination taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
