Nehru Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital, New Delhi

Nehru Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital (NHMC & H), New Delhi is the prestigious homeopathic institution established by late Dr. Yudhvir Singh, a freedom fighter who was awarded with the Padama Bhushan. The college was opened in the year 1967 and has the affiliation from the University of Delhi. It is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The institution has the attached hospital where homeopathic education is practiced by the students.

Campus

The sprawling campus of NHMC & H is spread over an area of 2.18 acres of land with built up area of around 73,323.20 sq. Ft. It is located in Defence Colony in New Delhi.

Facilities

The library of the college is air-conditioned and has the extensive collection of medical books of all the subjects. Also, there is a reading room for study. The library is equipped with internet facility. The sports activities that include both indoor and outdoor will be carried out on time so that the students can also broad their area of interest. There are clinical laboratories in the college furnished with all the necessary equipments. The highly ventilated classrooms provide the perfect environment for learning. Besides this, the college has a seminar hall, conference hall and a committee room.

Programmes

Various types of undergraduate courses are offered by the college for medical students. The institution runs UG course in Bachelor of Homoeopathic System of Medicine & Surgery (BHMS). It is of 51/2 years course (including one year compulsory internship). After the completion of course with 1 year internship, the students are eligible for degree.
