PES University, Bangalore

PES University was established in 1988 as a private and self-financing institution with name as PES Institute of Technology by the Public Education Society (PES). In the year 2013 it has been granted as the Private University by the UGC and renamed as the present “PES University”. The university is imparting the education in engineering, Management and Life Science and Medical fields. All engineering courses are approved by the AICTE.

Campus

The campus is located on the 100 feet ring road At Banashankari in the urban area of Bangalore City. Initially, the campus has started in a rented gymnasium in Bangalore. The campus has six major blocks in alphabetically order as A, B, C, D, E and F Block. The campus sprawls over 25 acres of land to the west of the city Bangalore.

Facilities

The campus has a well-spaced auditorium, conference hall and seminar hall. The campus provides the parking space, recreational and sports space, students’ airspace, garden and boys hostel. In terms of academic facilities, the university provides the state of the art infrastructure with well-equipped labs & workshops, central library, computer centre and spacious classrooms.

Programmes

The engineering faculty of the university is still known as the PES Institute of Technology. The PESIT offers B.Tech programmes, M.Tech programmes and an MCA programme. In management field, it also offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Applications (MBA) courses. The University also offers life science courses such as B.Pharma and M.Pharma. The major disciplines of the engineering are as the following:

The PES University is striving for the placement of its students in various reputed organizations. The University organizes the campus recruitment, pre-placement talk, group discussion, summer training and project work. The institute has placed many students in the industries like Oracle, IBM, Tyco Electronics, Society Generale, ICICI Bank, Deutsche Bank and Berol incorporation.
