Sachchidanand Sinha College (SSC), Aurangabad
Sachchidanand Sinha College, popularly known as S. Sinha College, Aurangabad was established in the year 1943 by a local dignitary. It is the oldest college under Magadh University, Bodh Gaya (Bihar) and converted into constituent unit of this university in the year 1974. It imparts teaching up to Honors degree level in major sixteen subjects. It has an approval of AICTE, New Delhi.
The college campus is situated 3 kms away from the main market of the town on Poiwan Road. The vast area of the campus contains the numbers of green trees. It occupies the landed area of more than 20 acres. The total sanctioned strength of students in this college is 9,000. Some new buildings are developed in the college like administrative office, computer department’s building, two lecture halls, girl’s common room, and many other buildings.
The college has rich library which has more than 40,000 books of different faculties and a computerized library. It has two well-furnished boys hostels are situated in the college’s campus. One more hostel for girls in college campus. There are many facilities available in the college campus like language lab, canteen, laboratories, Wi-Fi, remedial coaching, bank/ATM & PO facilities, garden, bus, medical and many other facilities.
The S.S.C. College provides the Honors degree level in major sixteen subjects i.e. Humanities, Social Science, Science and Commerce. The vocational degree courses are being successfully and efficiently managed since year 2000.
