Saveetha University offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various medical specialties and super-specialties. The university was started in the year 2005 and is approved by Medical Council of India (MCI).

Campus

The university is located in Chennai. The campus of the university is well-established with all the modern facilities with separate academic blocks and student’s blocks.

Facilities

The college provides separate hostel facility for boys as well as girls. The college has an advanced computer centre which is equipped with latest configurations and net connectivity. It houses a central library which is stocked with the vast collection of books, reports, journals and projects on different subjects. The library is also equipped with reading room facility. It has an auditorium for various cultural events. Beside these various other recreational facilities are also provided such as cafeteria, sports facility etc.

Programmes

Saveetha University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programme in the medical field. The university offers undergraduate course in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and postgraduate course in MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS). The duration of the MBBS programme is four and a half years along with the compulsory rotational internship of one year while the duration of the MD,MS and MDS courses are three years.
