Shri Kalabyraveshwara Ayurved Medical College & Hospital & Research Centre was started in the year 1997. The institution is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).

The institution is situated in Bangalore. The campus is well-established with all the necessary and latest facilities and consists of separate administrative and student block.

Facilities

The institution has air-conditioned and spacious lecture halls with the facility of OHP, LCD and projector. The institution provide separate accommodation facility for boys and girls along with the mess facility. It has a library equipped with magazines, journals, newspapers and project reports. The institution has a well-facilitated computer centre. It has an amphitheatre for various cultural events. The institution has a cafeteria and a conference hall etc.

Programmes

Shri Kalabyraveshwara Ayurved Medical College & Hospital & Research Centre runs undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the medical field. The institution offer undergraduate course in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and postgraduate course in MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery). The duration of the undergraduate BAMS course is four and a half years along with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year while the duration of the MD and MS course are three years. The selection of the candidate in the BAMS course will be based on the merit. The candidates seeking admission in BAMS course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics,Chemistry,Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50%.
