Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya was formed in the year 1933. The institution is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine. The institution imparts training, education and research only in the medical field.

Programmes
Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya provide undergraduate and postgraduate programme in the medical field. The undergraduate course offered by the institution is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) for the duration of four and a half years along with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year while the institution offers postgraduate course in Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS). The duration of the MD and MS courses are three years.
