University Business School (formerly, Department of Commerce and Business Management) has been imparting quality management education to develop dedicated, innovative and effective managers. The transformation from a department to a school has given it a distinct identity as a ‘School of Thought’. The school is well equipped with the modern methods of teaching aids. It is approved by UGC and is affiliated to Punjab University.
Campus
University Business School is located in Chandigarh. The infrastructure of University Business School offers the right opportunities for self learning, exploring one’s potential and knowledge building. The University provides the separate residential facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels are self-contained with all modern amenities for the students. The atmosphere of the hostels gives the students an opportunity to engage in mutual problem solving and the overall building of interpersonal relations.

The institution provides all the necessary facilities to the students such as fully Wi-fi campus, library (which is known as the A.C. Joshi library and is among the best libraries in India, with about a million volumes including a fine collection of reference books and subscription to over 1500 journals and periodicals), active training and placement cell, and other amenities like dispensary, store, canteen etc. are also available for students.

The UBS has a well-organized placement cell which is driven by the students themselves. The placement cell is headed by the placement officer. Some of the companies which have come to recruit the students are ACC, Asian Paints, Blue Dart, Deloitte, Eicher Motors, ICICI Prudential, HCL Technologies and Infosys etc.
