Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, New Delhi
Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, New Delhi is a unique post-graduate medical institution devoted to teaching, research and patient care in the field of chest diseases. It was established in the year 1949 and is approved by Medical Council of India (MCI). The institution is affiliated to Delhi University.
Campus
The institution is located in the heart of the main campus of the University of Delhi. The campus of the institution is well-established with all the modern facilities with separate academic blocks and student’s blocks.
Facilities
For the recreation and all round development of the students the institution provides various necessary facilities such as library which consists of 10038 books, 112 journals (105 international and 7 national), 508 thesis and 150 CD’s. The institution provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. It has air-conditioned lecture halls used for teaching, seminar etc which are equipped with audio-visual equipment, microphone and loudspeakers to help the lecturer be heard, and projection screens to be used for large display. It has an auditorium, conference hall. The institution also has the facility for staff quarters. It provides wi-fi facility to the students and provides various other recreational facilities like sports facility, cafeteria etc.
