Institute of Science and Management (ISM) was formerly known as Indian Institute of Science & Management that was established in the year of 1985. The Institution was laid out by the Dr. Sachchidanand former vice Chancellor of the Ranchi University. ISM is affiliated to State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) and approved by the AICTE.

Campus

The campus is located in Pundag that is a rural area, full of greenery and landscapes in Ranchi. The Institution is well-connected with the bus-stand, airport and railway station. The nearest airport is 6km away from the institution and railway station is around 5 kms. The ISM campus is spread over 3 acres of land with the Administrative blocks and Teaching blocks.

Facilities

The Institution has well-established library with a full of resources such as over 49 national and 27 international, periodicals, books, thesis, reports, magazines, different newspaper, Cassettes and CDs. There is an Auditorium (with a capacity of 300 people), Conference hall, Common rooms, Canteen, Faculty rooms and outdoor or indoor sports facilities. There is also an 8 classrooms with the facility of OHPs, Slide Projectors, Green / White Boards, LCD Projectors with the internet network. The Institution has air-conditioned computer lab avails 2 Mbps broadband services from BSNL. ISM has a separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.

The Institute of Science and Management, Jharkhand offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) that is equivalent to MBA. The Institution also provides Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).

Placement

The Placement cell of the ISM is very active and dynamic that is headed by the Deans of Departments. The Training and Placement cell organizing personal interviews on or off campus, pre placement talks and providing facilities that may be essential by the visiting organizations. The main Recruiters are Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Reliance Retail, Wipro and many more.
