Deccan Education Society, Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune was opened in the year of 1884. The college is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University & recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Campus

The campus of the college is located in Gate No. 3, Fergusson College Campus, Pune. The campus is well-linked with the road transportation facility. The college has world class infrastructure that consists of the separate administrative & academic blocks.

Facilities

There is a moot court room for providing live training to the students to improve their advocacy skills. The Library has a rich collection of primary and secondary legal resources, latest books, journals and electronic resources such as Manupatra, AIR CD- ROM, SCC Online Web Edition, etc. The college has a separate accommodation for boys & girls. Some major facilities offered by the college are well-equipped classrooms, sports, seminar hall, canteen, conference hall, medical, etc.

Programmes

Deccan Education Society, Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune imparts three years Bachelor of Law (LLB), five years integrated Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Law (BA LLB) and two years Master of Law (LLM). The college also offers one year diploma course, i.e. Diploma in Taxation Laws (DTL).

Admission

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission into BA LLB programme is Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent. Those students want to get admission into LLB programme, they have to qualify their graduation examination. Students have to score 45% marks in the qualifying examination. There is a 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks for SC/ST students. Students have to pass three years LLB & five years BA LLB course to get admission into LLM programme. The admission into these courses on the basis of the state level law entrance test, i.e. MAH Law CET (3 years) & MAH Law CET (5 Years).
