CDS 2026 Answer Key

CDS Answer Key 2026 may or may not be released by authority. It will be accessed by candidates via online mode only. Many institutions and coaching will release the CDS 1 2026 unofficial or institutional answer key in April 2026. For CDS-II, it will be released in September 2026 for CDS-II. The provisional answer key will be displayed for a few days after the exam. 

Applicants will be able to calculate their tentative scores by comparing the answer key with the response marked by them in exam. In case of any doubts regarding answer key, candidates will be provided an opportunity to raise objections against the same by submitting processing fee.

How to Download CDS 2026 Answer Key

To download the answer key, candidates will have to follow these steps:

• Visit the UPSC website link (link will be available above).
• Then, go to the examination section from the home page.
• Click on respective link of answer key.
• The answer key will be accessed in PDF Format.
• Download the provisional answer key and take a printout of it.

CDS 2026 Response Sheet

CDS Response Sheet will be published through online mode on the website. Applicants will be able to download the response sheet along with the answer key. To download response sheet, candidates will need to enter their login credentials, such as registration number and password.

The authority provides the response sheet so that candidates will be able to compare their responses marked by them in the examination. By comparing both answer key and response sheet, candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores and also raise their objections in case of any doubts.

How to Calculate Scores Using CDS 2026 Answer Key

Candidates are required to gain in-depth knowledge of marking scheme in order to calculate the scores using CDS Answer Key. To calculate the scores, candidates have to compare the answer key with response key. 

For each correct answer, applicants will need to allot marks assigned to each question. Negative marking will also be done for wrong answers. Candidates will need to deduct 1/3rd marks for each incorrect answer from the total correct score.

How to Challenge CDS 2026 Answer Key

The authority will provide a facility to raise objections against CDS Answer Key. Candidates will be able to challenge answer key by visiting the website before the last date to raise objections. Here are the step by step procedures to challenge answer key:

• Go through the UPSC website.
• From Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPR), click on CDS portal. 
• Select the answers you want to challenge.
• After selecting the answers, submit the challenge.
• Lastly, take a printout of objections raised by them.

CDS 2026 Final Answer Key

The authority will publish the final answer key a few days after the display of provisional answer key. Once the provisional answer key gets released, objections will be opened for a limited period of time. 

Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional answer key within the given time period. After the objections are raised, the authority will set up a committee to evaluate the objections. On the basis of objections raised, a final merit list will be published. 

CDS 2026 Result

CDS Result 2026 will be released by the authority in April 2026 for CDS I and in October 2026 for CDS II. It will be declared through online mode. Candidates does not required to provide their login credentials to check/download their results as it will be available in PDF format for all.

Based on the marks obtained by candidates in CDS exam, they will be invited to participate in counselling and other admission procedures. Qualified candidates will be eligible to secure admission at IMA, AFA, INA & other training academies.
