CUSAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The examination will be organised from May 2025 through online mode (computer based). Exam pattern is the first thing through which candidates can start their exam preparation.

To prepare for any examination, candidates should be aware of the complete exam pattern of that examination. Here, for the ease of candidates we have mentioned the complete details regarding CUSAT CAT 2025 Exam Pattern. Exam patterns might be different according to every examination.

For All B.Tech (Except marine Eng/ M.Sc Integrated/ CS Integrated):

  • Number of Questions: In the examination, 225 objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.
  • Papers: The question paper will come in two parts, i.e. Paper 1 & Paper 2.
  • Duration: The exam duration will be three hours.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 750 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, 3 marks will be allotted to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: For the wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • Syllabus: The syllabus will be based on +2 subjects.

  • Number of Questions: Total of 200 objective type questions will be asked in the examination.

  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be given to the candidates for the right response.
  • Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for the wrong response.

For M.Sc 5 yrs Integrated (Computer Science):

  • Number of Questions: Total 225 objective type questions will be asked.
  • Exam Duration: The duration of the examination will be 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: For each right answer, 3 marks will be awarded to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.

For MCA Course:

  • Number of Questions: The question paper will be comprised of a total of 150 objective type questions.
  • Duration: The exam duration will be two hours.
  • Marking Scheme: For each right answer, 3 marks will be awarded to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.

  • Syllabus: The questions will be asked from graduate level subjects.
  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be given to the candidates for the right response.
  • Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for the wrong response.

For LLB Course:

  • Number of Questions: In the examination, a total of 150 multiple choice type questions will be asked.
  • Duration of Exam: The exam will be of two hours duration.
  • Sections: The question paper will come in two parts.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, 3 marks will be allotted to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: For the wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
