IIMC 2023 Fourth Spot Round Registration & Choice Filling has been started from 10th October 2023. Indian Institute of Mass Communication conducts its own entrance exam to offer admissions. This year, admission into PG diploma courses was through CUET PG as well as their own exams. It offered post graduate diploma courses in journalism in seven languages including English. The entrance exam is conducted once in every year by IIMC on a university level. The admission is offered in the institution and its affiliated campuses. IIMC Entrance Exam 2023 Counselling Registration has been started from 31st July 2023. Click here to register.

All the registered candidates have to pay the registration fee for general category i.e Rs.1000/- and for SC/ ST candidates fee i.e Rs. 750/-. Candidates who have paid the registration fee successfully are required to submit the Institute/ campus and program/ course in order of their preference.

The system shows only the valid choices based on the application form details submitted by the candidates. Candidates can fill multiple number of choices in the order of preference. All CUET PG qualified & eligible candidates are required to register for IIMC counselling process.

Candidates are also given choice if they want to change, or re-order their choices. In this case, they can delete the earlier choices and add new choices any number of times until they lock their final choice.

IIMC 2023 Counselling Schedule

The university conduct the counselling through online mode. The complete counselling schedule is provided by the university after few days of the publication of merit list.

The counselling is started after the publication of written result. It has been started from 31st July 2023. The interview will be conducted from the month of September 2023.

The verification of the documents and the choice filling takes place at the counselling venue only. After the allotted time period of the counselling, no candidate are allowed to participate in the counselling.

IIMC Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for IIMC 2023 is as follows:

• Qualification: Candidate must qualify the CUET (PG) 2023 exam and must have All India Rank (AIR).
• Academic Requirement: The candidates must have bachelor’s degree from any recognised university/ institute.
• Age Criteria: The upper age limit for general category must be 35 years. For SC/ ST/ PWD, 30 years and for OBC-NCL age must be 28 years.
• Appearing: Those candidates appearing in final year examination 2023 will be also eligible.

IIMC 2023 Counselling Procedure

Candidates must register for IIMC 2023 Counselling procedure from 31st July 2023.  The authority has send the call letter to the qualified candidates inviting for group discussion and personal interview. For Seat Acceptance, candidates are required to submit Rs. 20,000 as Seat Acceptance Fee.

Candidates must carry their original documents along with them at the time of counselling for the verification. After the selection of the candidates, the final selection list of candidates gets released.

Documents required to attend the counselling:

• 10^th/12^th Passing Certificate
• 10^th/12^th Marksheet
• Graduation Marksheet
• Graduation Certificate
• Category Certificate
• Valid Photo Id proof
• Passport size photographs
• Counselling fee

Seat Allotment

Seat allotment process is carried out as per the business rule. Only those candidates who have filled the choices are eligible for seat allocation.

The choices finally submitted by the candidates or auto locked by the system is processed in order of rank and candidates preference approved by the Seat Allotment Algorithm.

The seats are allotted in the order of merit as per All India Rank (AIR) and also on the basis of applicable reservation criteria.

IIMC Admission 2023

After the completion of the online counselling, the selected candidates have to complete the admission formalities. Candidates have to report for the admission along with the generated admission letter.

At the time of admission, candidates also have to submit the admission fee to get final admission. It is necessary to submit the original documents to the allotted department.

The admission is allotted to the candidates only within the prescribed time period of the admission mentioned in the admission letter.
