NIIT University 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for exam, candidates must go through the complete eligibility process below:
For B.Tech:
- Qualifying Level: Those candidates who have qualified class 10th /12th level or equivalent from a recognised board or university.
- IB/ Cambridge Board: Secured ≥ Grade 4 in IB Board or minimum Grade C in IGCSE Board.
- Class 12th Required Subjects: Candidates with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in 12th along with any one of Chemistry/ Biology, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, Agriculture, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship, Technical Vocational subject are eligible to apply.
- Class X Required Subjects: Math, English, Social Science, Science are required subjects. The fifth subject can be according to the choice of student.
- Qualifying Marks: Students with 55% aggregate marks in 10th & 12th are eligible.
- Entrance Exam Scores: The valid scores of JEE Main/ BITSAT/ SAT/ CUET/ NEET/ IPMAT /any state engineering entrance exam percentile/ score is considered for admission.
- For applicants not having any of the above scores, the NU Aptitude Test (NUAT) will be mandatory.
BBA/ iMBA:
- Qualification: To be eligible, candidates should have passed class 10th & 12th level exam from a recognised board or university.
- IB/ Cambridge Board: Secured ≥ Grade 4 in IB Board or minimum Grade D in IGCSE Board.
- Marks: Applicants with minimum 50% aggregate marks (Class 10th & 12th) will be eligible.
- Class X Required Subjects: Math, English, Social Science, Science are required subjects. The fifth subject can be according to the choice of student.
- Class 12th Required Subjects: Candidates must have English and any 3 subjects from History/ Political Science/ Geography/ Economics/ Sociology/ Business Studies/ Accountancy/ Entrepreneurship/ Legal Studies/ Knowledge Tradition & Practices of India/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics or Applied Mathematics/ Computer Science or Informatics Practices/ Biology or Biotechnology/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Engineering Graphics/ Agriculture/ Technical vocational subject. Fifth subject can be as per students choice.
- Entrance Exam Scores: Valid scores in JEE Main/ BITSAT/ SAT/ CUET/ NEET/ IPMAT/ any state engineering entrance exam percentile/ score.
- For candidates not having any of the above percentile/ score, NUAT will be mandatory.
M.Tech Course (ET):
- Criteria: The applicants applying to University’s M.Tech Educational Technology course may choose between two specialisations – Teaching Learning Process Innovation and Business Model Process Innovation depending on whether they qualify as in-service or pre-service. Applicants need to indicate their choice at the time of application.
- Class X & XII /Bachelors/ Master’s: Aggregate marks should be ≥ 50%.
- Other Criteria:
- Applicants must have four years Bachelors degree in Engineering (any stream).
- Professionals with 3 years Bachelors degree must have adequate IT training and professional practice (min 2 years) in an ET relevant industry/ organisation/ department. Also, they should have 3 years relevant experience in any of above mentioned areas.
- Pre-service applicants need to appear for NIIT university ET admission competency test and a subsequent screening interview.
- In-service applicants shall be evaluated based on candidate’s interest, experience and suitability for course along with recommendation of sponsoring organisation.
NIIT University 2026 Admission Procedure
NIIT University 2026 follows a unique admission process to encourage students for making a thoughtful decision about their dream course. The admission procedure is applicable for the ones applying for NU’s B.Tech, BBA and iMBA.
Registration will be the first step of admission process. Candidates can apply through two modes i.e Early Admission Mode (EAD) or Regular Admission Mode (RAD). The admission process is completely transparent process and gives a fair chance to candidates to prove themselves.
NIIT University offers admission based on merit scores of national/ state level entrance exam or NUAT. Those candidates who will apply for B.Tech, BBA & iMBA and appear for NUAT will need to undergo a Student Personal Interaction (PI) with NU-AP which is followed by parents meeting with the NU faculty panel (optional).
NIIT University 2026 Entrance Exam (NUAT)
NIIT University Aptitude Test (NUAT) is a MCQ based online test. It is a university level entrance exam conducted by NIIT University (NU) every year to offer admission. Paper comprises questions from logical reasoning, data interpretation, quantitative techniques and English comprehension. A total of 50 minutes duration will be given to solve the exam with no negative marking for incorrect response.
NUAT exam is a mandatory exam for the ones who have not appeared in JEE Main/ BITSAT/ SAT/ CUET/ NEET/ IPMAT/ any state Engineering entrance exam. NUAT is exempted if you submit a valid JEE Mains /BITSAT /SAT /CUET /NEET /IPMAT scorecard.
NIIT University 2026 Result/ Merit List
The merit list of eligible candidates for admission in NIIT University will be announced via online mode. Those candidates who successfully appeared for NUAT entrance exam will be able to access their result on the website.
Merit list will be prepared by the university based on the performance of candidates in academics/ entrance exams. Those candidates who will successfully called in merit list can participate in counselling process.
NIIT University 2026 Counselling/ Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in NIIT University 2026 counselling process. Eligible candidates have to stay updated with counselling/ interview process.
After appearing for NUAT, candidates are required to participate in Personal Interview (PI) with NU-AP panel. NIIT University will also provide the logistical support to students and parents coming to university campus. Pick up and drop facility will be provided to designated airports, railway stations and specific points in NCR (NIIT House, Sector 32, Gurugram).
Parents can also avail overnight stay facility at campus by paying a nominal fee. A prior booking is necessary in such cases. All meals will be included in this and a variety of room categories are available to parents.
