The admission procedure for diploma courses in the state of Punjab is organized by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training. Previously, the authority held an entrance exam known as the Punjab JET (Joint Entrance Test) for admissions. However, the entrance exam is no longer used for admission.

Admission to diploma level Engineering and pharmacy studies is now dependent on relative merit in the qualifying test. Candidates will be admitted to approximately 130 government and private institutions in the state of Punjab.

Punjab JET 2024 Merit List

Admission to Punjab Polytechnic or Punjab JET 2024 will be based on the relative merit of applicants who have passed the 10+2 level. The merit list for engineering and pharmacy courses will be provided separately by the authority. 

In September 2024, the merit list will be released on the website. It will be made available for separate rounds. Aspirants will be invited in the further counselling rounds based on the final merit list. 

Punjab JET 2024 Counseling

After the release of the final merit list, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further counseling procedure. The entire counselling procedure will be organised in rounds.

During the counselling procedure, students will be needed to put out selections, shortlisted in the allotment result and then pay a fee to confirm their seats.

Final admission to Punjab JET 2024 will be done after the completion of the entire admission procedure. Only those who have been shortlisted will be admitted to their chosen courses.
