The foundation of college was laid on July 29, 1976 and officially inaugurated on July 31, 1977. It is situated in VILL & POST-Chimanpura, Jaipur. The college is self financed and approved by the AICTE. It is affiliated with University of Rajasthan. The college offered various courses in different disciplines. It provides the degree courses in Postgraduate and Undergraduate level.

Campus

The area of the campus is surrounded by the Aravali Hills on lush green land. The college is located at 64 km East on Jaipur-Delhi national highway no.8. It is situated in Chimanpura, 6 km West from Shahpura at Neem Ka Thana-Khetri Road. Presently there are 117 teachers dedicated toward building up the future of 6051 students. The location of the campus is in rural area.

Facilities

The college has many facilities constructed by the Government of Rajasthan. It provides the separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. It has well maintained laboratories, classrooms, canteen, auditorium, Conference hall, etc. It has a library which includes the all text books which are related to agriculture field. There is thesis also available in the college library. The library updates time to time.

Programmes

The college has the privilege of running Undergraduate classes in Arts, Commerce, Science and Agriculture. Furthermore Post-graduate classes initiated in the subject’s viz. Hindi, Commerce, Geography and Sanskrit. In present the college has the departments in agriculture are given as:

  • Entomology
  • Agronomy
  • Plant Breeding and Genetics
  • Animal Husbandry Dairy Science
  • Plant Pathology

The course offered in Undergraduate level of Agriculture is of four year duration. In order to take admission in above course of agriculture, the candidate must pass the JET Entrance Test. The course offered in Agriculture is:

  • B.Sc.in Agriculture

Placement

The state government has initiated a scheme of setting up Youth Development Centres in all government colleges. Objective of these centres is to inculcate employable skills in college students. The centres work on the following objectives for the students:

  • Career advice
  • Skill testing
  • Aptitude test
  • Personality test
  • Making employment related newspaper available
  • Organizing campus interviews
  • Special placement drives/fairs
  • Organizing seminars
  • Group counseling

So, every year these facilities conducted by the Youth Development Centres.
